Giang Nguyen 3 weeks agoOverall experience was good. Check in and out was nice and easy. Quick process. Location is nice and central but after 10pm gets pretty sketchy around the area. Parking ramp definitely could use improvement- it was narrow, old, and dirty. And also wasn’t included in the stay, it was $30. Rooms were cozy, clean, and spacious. The breakfast was surprisingly good. Usually hotel breakfasts are bland but this one had some good options.
nathan blomker a month agoThis is a fantastic hotel! It was incredibly comfortable, nicely furnished, and immaculately clean. The commons area for breakfast and dining is large and a pleasant place to eat. The breakfast every morning was great; well prepared, good variety, and delicious. The staff was professional and helpful. The most heartening part was that the staff found and shipped to me my daughter's beloved bag that she had forgotten behind. After many tears shed by my daughter, I was happy to tell her that hotel found and was returning her bag. I will definitely visit there again.
Taj Pabari a month agoVery disappointing experience at Hyatt Minneapolis Downtown. After travelling and arriving late following a delayed flight, we expected a straightforward check-in at a hotel advertised as operating 24 hours. Instead, the street-level lobby felt unsafe, with people appearing to use drugs in the lobby. When we reached reception, we were told we had interrupted the staff member’s pack-down process and could not check in for another 30 minutes while the desk was reset. The staff member, Anthony, was rude, condescending and disrespectful throughout the interaction, which only made an already stressful arrival worse. We had also booked this hotel partly because it advertised an indoor pool, only to find out on arrival that the pool was no longer operational. We booked more than a month in advance and received no communication that this key facility was unavailable. The hotel later agreed to credit one night to resolve the issue. We relied on that commitment and checked out believing it would be honoured. After checkout, the hotel claimed the credit had been processed, but no refund was received and no one has followed through. Expedia confirmed the hotel will not be crediting any night stay. We have now had to commence a chargeback. The hotel manager, Marco Torres, has not responded to follow-up emails seeking to resolve this properly. I will now be escalating this directly to Hyatt, as this property and its handling of a legitimate complaint are a huge disservice to the Hyatt brand. We stayed at many hotels throughout our trip and this was easily the poorest experience. I would not recommend this property to anyone, at any price point.
Bob Steen 2 months agoI wanted to like this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The public spaces are pleasant. The downtown location is great with easy access to the blue and green lines for airport and other destinations. That said, things were a little run down. Many electrical outlets in the room didn't work, and lighting was quirky too. Breakfast was the bare minimum. One of the elevators had a sign basically saying, "This elevator may fail and you will be trapped. We'll assume it's your fault and will bill you for repairs and rescue." Wow. Would I stay here again? Maybe since the price was good, but there are a lot of alternatives too.
Kayson Hendrickx 4 weeks agoOnly thing good about this place is it location and there is still plenty of cheaper options around. First off they no longer have a pool still advertising as if they do still. Absolutely no AC in the lobby might as well be outside. Shower doors are a safety hazard cut my finger and bleed everywhere. The pillows are made of rocks and the blanket is like a thin slice of cheese. You need to get really high you want to sleep semi comfortably. All around not great won’t be coming back to this hotel.
