We enjoyed the Moxy Hotel, and overall experience does not deceive. In line with Moxt etiquett. With authentic materials (wood, leather, irons ...etc) and vintage look. Good price / value if you are a Marriot Bonvoy member (yes it is worth it). The rooms are smaller than we expected. No overnight parking in property, you need to walk across the street. We liked it.

Style with no substance. Moxy might be "cool" but the rooms leave a lot to be desired. First the rooms are very small, with hardly anywhere to put a suitcase or two down. Difficult for two adults to get ready for a formal function. Open style shower so it's cold unless you crank the heat way up in the room. No coffee maker, no refrigerator, no iron (not that there would be a place to iron). Tiny desk barely big enough for a laptop, with a weird stool to sit on. No breakfast. Record player in the lobby doesn't work - just for looks I guess. Only paid parking is available (and expensive), very little loading area on the street outside the lobby. And all that for around the same nightly rate as many other hotels which offer more. It was clean at least, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Decent happy hour at the bar. In the end, I'm not sure who this hotel is meant for. Certainly not business travelers, and uncomfortable for couples.

Beautiful space, trendy but not corny. Lots of activities to entertain any age. Bar area very welcoming. Night worker on the weekend was very accommodating and funny. We stayed in the King suite and it was a nice amount of space. Could entertain a few guests for a special occasion. Our room included a fridge/freezer and microwave

Let me start by saying - I REALLY wanted to like this place. I had heard good things about Moxy hotels and I was looking forward to finally experiencing one for myself. Unfortunately my experience at this location was disappointing to say the very least. It wasn't all bad, as I must say the hotel itself felt clean overall and staff were (for the most part) friendly and helpful. And while I found the gym being in the basement to be a little creepy, the gym itself provided the basics and I was grateful to have that ammenity. Now for the bad... For starters, the parking situation is a nightmare. In short, there is none. Hotel staff advised that my best option was either to pay for street parking or to opt for a paid lot nearby. I ended up finding a side street within walking distance that didn't require payment or a permit (as most did), but it required a bit of a walk to and from the hotel and made transportation of luggage, etc. a nightmare. Now for the rooms. To list what they lacked would be far more lengthy than to list what they provided. My room was little more than a closet, with the bathroom closely matching the room itself in size. There is no fridge or microwave, no table or seating area, no ice bucket, no coffee machine, and no closet space. I did appreciate that they provided body wash and a few other essentials, but I feel that's pretty standard practice. I was staying for a week so I had purchased some groceries, and upon seeing a sign in the lobby mentioning asking for a room with a fridge, I did so. The response I got was something of a disgusted scoff that I would ask such a thing, as that was not something Moxy hotels provides. (I didn't even bother questioning the sign) The neighborhood itself left much to be desired, with many homeless people and other questionable characters lurking. I do know this area is going through a regentrification and this aspect is out of the hotel's hands. Suffice to say, I made the most of my time here but I will not be staying in another Moxy.

I like staying at less traditional hotels but this one was a little bit of a miss. Bar area and decor are very cool but I would really like at least a small mini fridge in the room and a small safe. I'm on board with more communal items and shared spaces but there was a little too much stopped away.
