Heather Payne 2 months agoVisiting for a local concert for my daughters birthday. Our room was clean and the beds were comfy. The pool was cold and the hot tub is out of order which was a main reason for choosing this hotel. Online this place looks like a resort, However the pool was a major selling point for this trip and it was very cold. The staff here were amazing. We had lunch there and the food was great. We had to switch rooms due to our AC unit leaking and the maintenance man Tom was very helpful and friendly. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and supplied us with fresh towels. Overall it was a nice stay. We likely wouldn't return but only due to the area has so many other options for nicer pool areas.
Trashbandit 3 weeks agoThe staff was pretty nice and the room wasn't bad with regard to the setup. I did have problems with the A/c immediately though, they sent up a maintenance guy to fix it, he unclogged it, it blew colder for a bit but still very warm in the room. He said they won't have this problem come next year when they remodel all the rooms, thanks bud but that doesn't help me in this current moment. I called the front desk and asked for a fan to help push the cool air around, surprise surprise, no fans even with them having a known A/C problem. Seems like the lounge had good food. The shuttle driver was on time so that's good.
Nina Johnson a month agoThe hotel is beautiful, well maintained, and the rooms are very nice. I was very pleased with the property itself. What I found frustrating was the checkout process. Upon checking in, I was told checkout was at 11:00 a.m., which is standard, but then I was immediately asked what time I planned to leave. I'm not sure why that information was needed when all guests are expected to check out by 11:00 a.m. anyway. I estimated between 10:00 and 10:30 a.m. but explained I wasn't certain. The next morning, housekeeping attempted to enter my room at 8:30 a.m., and I had to let them know I was still there. Then, at 9:30 a.m., while I was on a work conference call, they returned again and I had to explain that I was still utilizing the room. The repeated interruptions were very inconvenient and made it feel like there was pressure to leave well before the stated checkout time.
Joe Todd 2 months agoAfter American Airlines delayed our flight by four hours, causing us to miss our connections home, we were put up at the Sheraton Charlotte Airport. While the lobby makes a decent first impression, the "beautiful" facade quickly fades. Every chandelier has multiple burnt-out bulbs, and large sections of the lobby are oddly empty—just vast stretches of carpet with no furniture. Even the layout is confusing; the main stairs to the restaurant are blocked by booths, forcing guests to use a side entrance. The room was frustratingly dark. The wall switch by the door does nothing; I had to navigate a dark room to find the bathroom light and then manually turn on three separate lamps. The decor is stuck in the 80s, and the desk is remarkably tech-unfriendly. There are no outlets on the desk; you have to hunt for a wall outlet near the floor two feet away, bring some long wires. The bathroom was the biggest disappointment. The vanity was clearly caulked by someone with zero training, and a large crack in the marble was "repaired" with no regard for aesthetics. There was a thick layer of dust on the molding and even a spider living in the tub. While the toilet and shower appeared clean, the lack of attention to detail is glaring. This hotel is survivable if the airline is paying, but I wouldn't recommend it as a choice if you have other options. The free airport shuttle is the best thing it's got going for it.
Maxim Wallace 4 months agoI stayed last minute on 2/19 and had the pleasure of being checked in by Robin at front desk. Not only was she incredibly kind, but also very professional. I hadn't packed a toothbrush and she kindly gave me one of the complimentary ones, asked if I needed help with any luggage, and gave me a very thorough verbal tour of the hotel during my stay. Pretty spot too, but the great people who work there make it even better!
