Overall, I had a good stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Raleigh. The location is definitely the highlight—you’re right in the middle of downtown with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and other attractions within easy walking distance. One thing to be aware of is that parking is across the street. It wasn’t a problem for me, but it’s worth knowing ahead of time. Also, because you’re staying downtown, it can get quite loud at night with traffic and loud cars. That’s just part of being in the city, not the suburbs, but light sleepers may want to keep it in mind. The hotel itself was comfortable and convenient for exploring the area. The only disappointment during my stay was that the pool was closed. Overall, a solid option if you want to be in a great downtown location and don’t mind a little city noise.

What stood out most during my stay was the incredible kindness and compassion of the hotel staff, in particular, LeAngela and Belita . I arrived in Raleigh alone and was immediately met with a stressful, difficult situation, and from the moment I checked in, the staff treated me with genuine empathy, patience, and care. They went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcomed, supported, and comfortable during a very stressful time. Their professionalism was matched by sincere human kindness, and it truly made all the difference in my experience. I’ll always remember how thoughtfully they treated me, and I’m deeply grateful for the outstanding service and compassion they showed throughout my stay.

Best stay in awhile! The check-in staff were extremely professional and courteous, as well as other employees. The hotel was clean and well maintained, even during a snow event. Walking distance from food, restaurant, and entertainment. If needed, we will return! Thank you, Milton Carney

We recently had a fantastic stay, our first trip with 2 dogs. A huge part of that was Bee at the front desk. Traveling with pets can be stressful, but Bee made us feel welcome and completely at ease. From the moment we arrived, Bee greeted both us and our dogs with genuine warmth and enthusiasm. She knew everyone’s names by the next time we walked by the front desk. It was clear she truly enjoys helping guests and loves animals. Her level of hospitality made our first trip traveling with the dogs easy and enjoyable, she is a fantastic representative of the hotel. We look forward to our next dog approved trip.

Belvita at the desk always made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. She also helped us with places to go that might interest us around town. If we ever had a problem, she and the staff remedied it immediately for us. It was the cleanest, nice looking, accommodating hotel I've ever been to in my life. Not the fanciest but the best overall. The breakfast was very good. They also kept coffee, hot chocolate and hot teas available all day during our winter visit. Hands downs, best hotel experience in my life!
