Not a bad thing in this review! This is the second time I have been to this Hilton location, and since I have relatives that live here in NC, the hotel was very accommodating! Very nice bar too! The pool is great! The fitness center definitely has some good machines for your workout routine💪. The room was fantastic! It’s all based on the vibe and it was a definite 5 stars for me, fully met all expectations! 😌🙌

Upon writing this review, I realized I stayed at this location back in 2017 and gave it five stars—unfortunately, I can’t say the same about my recent visit. The hotel still benefits from a great location in the North Hills area of Raleigh, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and the open parking lot is convenient. I also appreciated the ability to check in early and choose my room, which made the arrival process smooth. However, the property is clearly showing its age, from the worn hallway carpet and dated furniture to the old-style key card entry system. The older furniture also had noticeable stains on the cocktail and end tables, which took away from the overall feel of the room. Housekeeping missed a Tupperware container of ice cream left in the freezer, and there were small inconveniences like narrow, undersized trash cans. The TV setup was frustrating—two televisions but only one remote, no guide feature, and poor reception with constant interference. Although I reported the issue and staff followed up saying it was fixed, the problem continued throughout my stay. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable, and I liked the firm pillows. While I didn’t use the indoor pool, the dedicated pool elevator is a thoughtful touch that keeps swimmers from having to walk through the lobby. Overall, while the location and a few amenities still stand out, the condition of the hotel and some service oversights made this a disappointing return visit.

My recent stay at this Hilton property was extremely disappointing and honestly shocking for a brand that typically represents consistency and quality. From the moment I entered the hotel corridors, it was obvious the property is suffering from a severe lack of upkeep and attention to cleanliness. The hallways had visible dirt and grime on the walls, the carpeting throughout the property appeared stained and dirty, and the wallpaper in both the hallways and guest rooms was peeling and damaged. The overall appearance of the hotel felt neglected, worn down, and far below Hilton standards. Unfortunately, the issues continued once I entered my assigned room. The room itself was in unacceptable condition. Cabinet doors were hanging off the cabinetry, furniture appeared damaged and poorly maintained, and the couch was visibly filthy, stained, and disheveled to the point that I did not feel comfortable using it. Rather than feeling clean, welcoming, and professionally maintained, the room felt rundown and poorly cared for. I brought these concerns to staff attention and requested to be moved to a room that more closely reflected the level of quality and cleanliness normally associated with Hilton properties. What was most frustrating was that I was then charged an additional fee for an “upgrade,” despite the fact that my request was not about obtaining luxury accommodations — it was simply about receiving a room that met reasonable Hilton expectations for cleanliness, maintenance, and functionality. I fully understand that hotels experience wear over time, but there is a major difference between an aging property and one that appears neglected. Cleanliness, maintenance, and guest satisfaction should never be compromised to this degree. Instead of feeling valued as a Hilton guest, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed that legitimate concerns about room condition resulted in additional charges rather than a straightforward effort to correct the situation. This property is in urgent need of renovation, deeper housekeeping standards, and stronger maintenance oversight. Equally important, guest concerns about room quality should be handled with professionalism and fairness — not additional fees simply to receive accommodations that should already meet brand standards.

The halls look dirty, the walls look dirty, the room had wallpaper that was bubbling and peeling. The baseboards were dirty and paint chipping. The shower had black mildew. The pillows are extremely flat when playing on the them. This hotel needs a major update. I could also smell weed coming from a few doors down. Overall do not recommend. Don’t let the nice lobby fool you, the rest of the hotel is very dated. I wish I would have chosen another hotel.

Pros-The rooms are clean and recently renovated The beds were comfortable. The lobby was large and open. It was comfortable and a great greeting place. Breakfast was buffet style, served until 10. Sign up for the Hilton loyalty and get a $15 breakfast voucher. Parking is free. Staff is friendly, professional and helpful. There's a shuttle available. Cons- the rooms were small with 2 double beds. There's no microwave in the rooms, but there's a refrigerator. The bathroom was small also.
