We were overly satisfied with the stellar customer service we received from desk manager, Julia. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay, including our pets, was seamless and convenient. The room was fairly spacious, clean and tidy. Breakfast was incredible. Not what you would expect from a hotel AT ALL. Cheaper to park in the garage across the street, than to utilize valet parking as they park your car in that garage anyway. Despite being in a cat friendly room, it smelled clean like what you would expect from a normal room. Would definitely stay here again.

After an absolute nightmare experience at another Cleveland hotel that left me scrambling with my toddlers after a 12-hour drive, Hotel Indigo Cleveland Downtown literally saved my trip. I had not been back home in Ohio in 6 years and was in town for my little sister’s graduation. The last thing I needed was more stress. Hotel Indigo delivered in every single way. The cleanliness was impeccable, not a single complaint. The room was spotless, relaxing, and exactly what was advertised. The staff went above and beyond from the moment we arrived. You could feel the care and professionalism in everything they did. This hotel turned what started as one of the most frustrating travel experiences of my life into a truly memorable trip. My sister’s graduation weekend was saved and I have Hotel Indigo to thank for that. If you are visiting Cleveland, do not hesitate. This is exactly what a hotel experience should feel like. I will absolutely be back.

Came into town for a long weekend to catch a Cleveland Indians game at Progressive Field. Best part of this hotel is its proximity to the ballpark, Rocket Arena (NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers and AHL's Cleveland Monsters), and East 4th Street. We checked in on a Friday night and the lady who checked us in was warm and welcoming. The Standard Room (Room 812) was spacious but could be maintained better - there were bit of stains on the wall, dust/vacuum dust on top of the bed, and more lighting would add a better ambience. The pillows were also oddly shaped. We had a nice view of Progress Field - center field (pictured here) as well as Rocket Arena which was down the street of the hotel, so that was nice. There were not enough towels in the bathroom so the next morning we kindly asked front desk (different lady than the one who checked us in) that we get a fresh set, but it did not come until we had to call and ask again. Hotel parking was $50/day with in-and-out privileges which was reasonable. It also pays to be an IHG Member because the prices for non-member pricing/without points felt overpriced. I will say that the reviews made me second guess my choice but it really was not that bad than others' reviews made it seem.

The room smells old with a distinct smell. The bathroom is extremely small you have to pretty much stand on the toilet to close the bathroom door. If you use the toilet with the door open you have to go behind the door to get the tissue. You can barely turn around in the bathroom. Hair was in my bed. The room wasn’t clean properly and the hotel smells better in the lobby than the rooms. I cringed staying there the entire time. The air unit would make this loud noise if I turned the heater on. There was a blue light that flashed constantly from the air unit and when you turned the air on it amplified the old dirty smell. I slept with my shirt over my nose. We valet parked every night and it would take 30 mins to get our car daily no matter how many times we stayed. I chose the earliest flight home to get out of that cringing dirty hotel.

We stayed here recently, and while many aspects of the hotel were fine, there were two serious issues that need to be mentioned. Late at night, I had to take my service dog outside and was locked out of the hotel and unable to get inside for an extended period. I was banging and kicking on their front doors for at least 20 minutes or so. I am Deaf and visually impaired, which made the situation especially distressing and unsafe. There was no immediate staff response, and when help finally arrived, the issue was minimized rather than taken seriously. Being locked out in the middle of the night is unacceptable for any guest, but particularly concerning for someone with disabilities. Additionally, we were surprised with a $40 valet parking charge. There was no free self-parking option, and this cost was not clearly communicated in advance. That kind of unexpected fee leaves a bad impression. Aside from these issues, the room itself was fine and the stay might have been acceptable—but safety and transparency matter. I hope the hotel takes steps to ensure guests are never locked out again and that parking fees are made very clear before arrival.
