BUGS-BUGS-BUGS - Full Carpet Beetle infestation. All of our stuff filled with different stages of larva, Car now infested. A full nightmare. We stayed here last weekend as our first vacation with our 3 month old baby for my Wife's Birthday. The hotel did not provide cribs or pack and plays so we had to bring out own from home. Unfortunately we had to throw away the pack and play and buy a new one on return home. As we were checking out and gathering all of our things I saw a one of the Larva on the bed we had just had all of our things on. Full Yuck. Upon return home we left all of our belongings in the hot car hoping it would help kill anything that may have gotten into our stuff. Finally pulled everything out in the yard to start going through it and laundering everything that we could in our garage unit on hot hot hot. While unpacking found 29 Larva in and on everything unfortunately still living. THERE WERE LARVA IN MY DAUGHTERS CARSEAT. I Literally threw up and cried. Their eggs are microscopic. So who the hell knows how many more there are. We threw away everything that could not be laundered. Pack and play, Rain jackets, Umbrella. toiletries bag. 2 Suitcases etc. Paid $250 to detail and decontaminate car. Had to rent an industrial steamer to attempt to clean our stroller which we could not afford to just throw away. If you have made it this far I Obviously do not recommend staying here. The property chose to Gaslight me saying there were no issues in our room when they went to inspect it. NO WAY. BUGS, Bad Service, Bar and Restaurant closed early. The Location however was perfect.

Four of us (in 2 rooms for 5 days) for a college graduation in May 2026. Central location is excellent but challenging if you have a car (park in a city run garage or on the street but mind the signs, PPA doesn't mess around). The property was as expected and a good value for the price we booked months in advance. Rooms were spacious, comfortable, and functional. There are good breakfast and coffee options nearby (Winkel, Bill's, Elixir). Front desk staff were friendly and helpful (esp. Necey). We had an issue with housekeeping and the operations manager (Ms. Cin Worrell) did an excellent job of resolving it. I'd stay here again if I didn't have a car.

We live local but spent one night here for a conference at the convention center. Lobby and restaurant are on the second floor. Parking is valet or find your own (we parked in the self serve garage across the street at The Bellvue... super convenient, we don't like others in our cars, but expensive $83 for overnight). Room was clean and nice. Interesting setup with how the bed is in the middle with the door behind you... bad feng shui? Sorry, but we REALLY hate the half fixed shower door setup. I'm sure hotels do this for a reason, but it makes for messy cold showers. Bed was meh. Pillows were tiny and not very supportive. Bed was too soft like several reviews noted. Location is great if you're walking around center city Philly... convention center, city hall, Rittenhouse Square, etc. all walkable. No free breakfast. The buffet was okay. No lunch. We didn't do dinner there. Of course, being in a busy city, pretty loud at night. Would be cool if the rooms had a sound machine (we used our phone). Safe was small (wouldn't fit a laptop). Business expense, but not expensive for the location. TV at a weird angle to watch from bed.

Great location, good price, good basic room. Had to try two rooms to get working tv. Stayed 3 nights, 1 week day night fine, weekend nights noisy in hallways at times and the area. Area at night basically fine, but a tad sketchy, really close to hotel. Biggest beef was staff not well trained. Some at front desk unable to locate hotel floor plan in their system, prices for extending stay one night, any knowledge about basic public transportation (like the wonderful, cheap, fast, nearby, SEPTA Train to the airport), real basics. Nor any acknowledgement of my having to go through 2 rooms to get a working TV. Not the end of the world, but say sorry for the hassle, common courtesy for your guests. Also elevator waits often way too long and irritates folks staying there. I would stay here again one night during the week (probably not the weekend) if I had a business nearby.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at the Cambria Downtown Philadelphia City Center. The hotel hosted the room block for my wedding and the service was absolutely exceptional. Every member of the team was kind thoughtful and professional. Their communication was quick and helpful which made the planning process completely stress free. The front desk staff was warm welcoming and always ready to assist. The valet staff was also incredibly helpful and supported me with bringing all of my wedding items upstairs which I appreciated so much. The entire stay felt comfortable and safe and my guests were very happy with their experience. I am grateful for the team that helped make this such a smooth and enjoyable event. I am proud to be a Choice Hotels member and will happily return in the future.
