I’ve stayed at this hotel several times over the years, and it’s always been a great experience, but this most recent visit was the best yet. We stayed in a Junior Suite, and it was the perfect setup for my brother and me. It’s surprisingly hard to find hotel suites that work well for two travelers who want separate sleeping spaces without booking a huge room, but this layout was comfortable, practical, and well-designed. The real highlight, though, was Naeema at the front desk. She checked us out and completely elevated our stay. She was warm, personable, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we spoke with her. She took the time to recommend some of her favorite local spots, including places in Fishtown where we were headed for the day. Her enthusiasm for the city was contagious. Exceptional customer service can make all the difference, and Naeema delivered exactly that. Kimpton is incredibly lucky to have her. She left us with a fantastic final impression of an already wonderful stay.We’ll absolutely be back!

Overall an amazing stay! Great location to Rittenhouse Square and the business district. Rooms are a little small and got use some TLC on the furniture, but still very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful as well, plus the free popcorn and wine for happy hour was a nice touch!

I'm from Philadelphia and for my birthday in December I decided to redeem some of my points and stay here to have a calm start for the next chapter in my life. I had stayed here a few weeks prior and thought it was cute and would do the trick. During my stay I chose a room with a jetted tub. The room ended up not having any hot water during my one my night stay. Not only did I not get to use the jetted tub which was the sole purpose of my stay, I was also forced to take a cold shower in a chilly bathroom on the morning of my birthday. The staff did not communicate the issue until I called down to them twice. I tried to salvage my stay and accepted the IHG points offered by the staff at the time, but after some reflection I'm still upset about the experience and how it was handled. The points given wouldn't even begin to cover the price of a regular room and I booked an upgraded room with a jetted tub. I also had a scary moment on one of the elevators that wasn't working properly. My room was clean enough I suppose, and staff were friendly enough, but overall I was very disappointed. I thought I had found my go to hotel in the city, but I'm very hesitant to go back. I'll likely try my luck at another hotel. There are a lot of options in Center City.

From the beginning - I was greeted by many smiling faces. Akira, TerryAnn and Onalisa made my stay incredibly comfortable. They were there to answer as many questions as I had as well as provided directions to many things! The room was clean, and the housekeeping did an amazing job making sure everything was spotless. I also wanted to talk about the attached restaurant - you can use that amenity fee credit towards the restaurant. Do not neglect paying the breakfast fee! it literally not only saved me so much money! Square 1682 does so much right! The food is rich and tasty. I was there almost every day haha. I want to give a special shout out the hosts - Francesca and Tauna. They made my nights incredibly fun with their banter and recomendations. I also want to shoutout the servers - Carson, Cindy, and Kaitlyn. They knew the menu back and forth and their smiles and superior service has made me a fan of this place! I highly recommend it!

I had a wonderful stay from start to finish. The customer service stood out immediately — from the front desk to housekeeping, everyone was professional, friendly, and attentive. I especially appreciated the hotel’s digital engagement through the app and text messaging, which made communication quick and seamless throughout my stay. The attached restaurant, Square 1682, is great. It’s cozy and inviting, with bar seating and expert mixologists. Definitely a fun happy hour location. Dinning there, I experienced fast service and the menu offered a nice variety of tasty bites both large and small. I opted for a bunch of the appetizers, cornbread (a must try), lamb meatballs and mussels. That left me with plenty of room to finish with the philly tart. The location is another highlight, within easy walking distance around the heart of downtown Philadelphia, making it easy to explore the city. A special thank you to MaryAnn, who handled both my check-in and check-out with professionalism and grace. It’s always a nice touch when great service comes full circle with the same attentive staff member. A comfortable, well-run hotel which is why it is my go-to whenever I stay in Philadelphia.
