We loved everything about our stay. It's simply gorgeous with top notch everything. I mean come on, it's the Ritz and it definitely lived up to its reputation. We received an upgrade to a superior king room that we didn't even ask for which was a very nice surprise for our anniversary celebration. Our room service breakfast was delicious and delivered right on time. They have a vending machine for my favorite champagne (I need one of those in my home lol). Excellent location in walking distance to many sites and restaurants. We had a view of City Hall from our room. I don't have a single suggestion on what could be better.

My family visited Philadelphia and stayed at the Ritz-Carlton April 18-22 for Spring break. The location was excellent and the service in the restaurant for breakfast was also great. Some things that were disappointing: the day before we departed, housekeeping changed our sheets and accidentally took my daughter's stuffed pigeon with the laundry. The entire reason we were in Philadelphia is because my kid is crazy about pigeons and we wanted to do the Philly Pigeon Tours. We realized the pigeon was missing before we checked out and let the staff at the desk know -- they told us the linens are sent out for cleaning but they would check with the facility. We never received any follow up. My kid was pretty bummed out about it and, while I understand mistakes happen, there was no effort to make it right. The other issue was with our room. While it was a lovely corner room, the mechanism to raise and lower the shade in the bathroom was broken, leaving it closed, and the power cable was hanging down from the ceiling. It was not something I would have expected from a 5-star hotel.

Staff is professional and friendly... Couldn't ask for better. My room appeared nice. But all through the night I could hear the elevator. It was like sleeping in a bowling alley. I reported it, however nothing really was offered to resolve the situation. I expected more for a hotel I paid this much to stay at. I hear the four seasons is great and I went to their roof top bar which was impressive. May try there next time

Please hire better people or train them better. Spoke to Mel from front desk because several things are not working in the room. She was not very courteous not up to the standard of Ritz Carlton brand. Disappointing to say the least. Gave direct feedback and she didn’t take it well at all. What a horrible service. We also had AC issue with our premium suite and they moved us to a very small sad downgraded room without telling us in advance. Had to escalate to Chase travel service to get some kind of decent response from front desk. To add insult to injury there is a random laundry cart in front of our hallway and front desk even mentioned that the layout is “slightly different”. I wouldn’t call a 250sqft reduction in room size a layout variation. Can’t believe how bad our experience was. Horrifying Don’t be fooled by the Ritz branding. It’s giving three star hotels energy. If its cheap, go for it but you kinda get what you pay for 🔺🔺🔺

Unfortunately this hotel does not live up to its 5-star experience you would expect. While location is convenient and lobby is impressive that is the only part of our stay that we would consider the best part. We did not have water for half a day and no email notice or notice under our door. When we called they expected us to know about this, unfortunately we were not part of the group that received a notice. After water was turned back on, we had to call twice to inquire about the hot water. It also took 2 nights to get the requested laundry bags. Towels and bathrobe were quite old, not what you would expect for a luxury hotel. The rooms and furniture are unfortunately also quite old and dated. The staff was nice but nothing exceptional. Quite a disappointing experience unfortunately.
