Our stay didn’t get off to the best start—we had to wait about an hour in the lobby for our room—but the exceptional staff quickly turned things around. They upgraded our room, treated the kids to free hot chocolate, and even provided a $50 room service voucher, which was a very pleasant surprise. The room itself was stunning, with breathtaking views from the 48th floor and a stylish, moody aesthetic. Everything was spotless, and I had no concerns about cleanliness. Down in the lobby, the live music created a great atmosphere, and Andy at the bar was fantastic. I also explored the 7th-floor amenity level, which features a rooftop pool deck with a bar, a spa, and a well-equipped fitness center. The pool was impressively warm despite the cool, breezy weather, and the fitness center was clean and well maintained. Sleep quality was excellent, even though our room was directly across from the elevators—just a few minor disturbances late at night from people talking. In the morning, the lobby coffee bar was convenient and well stocked. Checkout was smooth, and the bell staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. I would absolutely stay here again and look forward to returning in the future. Thank you for a great stay!

I decided to do a staycation for my birthday at the W. and from check-in up until I checked out my experience was great. Silvia checked me in and offered me a champagne glass and a choice of a dessert for my birthday staycation. After checking into the room she followed up with me to see if I liked the room as well. My room was spacious, clean and had a perfect view. The staff on the premises were also kind, from the restaurant at Dolce to the night lounge within the lobby. I will definitely consider another staycation at the W.

I have never stayed at this hotel nor will I ever. They charged my credit card for a stay even though I cancelled the room, PER THEIR POLICY, and within the stated timeframe they mandated. Looking through some of the other reviews, looks like they're big on fraudulent charges. Disputed with my credit card and reported to the BBB. Expect waaaaay more from a "luxury" hotel. Will be contacting Marriot as well. Update 3/5/26 - they have fully refunded my card, as well as issued an apology, so I do applaud them for correcting their error.

Overall, we had a really nice stay at the W Philadelphia. The location is honestly hard to beat if you’re visiting Center City. We were able to walk pretty much everywhere, which made the trip super convenient and fun. The suite itself had phenomenal views and the bed was very comfortable. The vibe and service definitely matched what you’d hope for from a W Hotel. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the stay. That said, for nearly $950 for two nights in a suite, there were a few details that felt a little disappointing. The couch by the window had noticeable stains, and there were some scratches/wear marks around the sink area that made the room feel slightly more worn than expected for the price point. Overall though, we were very happy with the experience and would absolutely consider staying again, especially for the location and service.

3 points for the location and the view, other than that the hotel isn’t designed to be functional at all - no doors to the shower room, the bathroom has revolving doors with side vents and didn’t lock (never seen this before lol) the internet is additional $20 per day, parking $60. While i liked the aesthetics of the room, the furniture was scuffed and the sink had cracks in it. Usually it’s not a problem but for the sticker price you are paying here you sort of expect the room to be better maintained. Overall, a nice stay if you dont mind above mentioned.
