Great location, room was pretty good for the price, had no problem with parking, actual on-site staff were great. My only - and major - complaint is how hard it was to speak to someone at the hotel over the phone. I booked through booking dot com and Wyndham itself never sent me a confirmation number like it was supposed to. No phone number I could find anywhere allowed me to reach a human being at the hotel itself. I spent almost two hours being looped over and over again through the hotel's new AI "booking agent," a condescending robot that called itself "Jolene," trying to confirm that my reservation was still in place before I traveled there. It would tell me it was giving me the front desk's number, and when I called that number, it was just "Jolene" again. I couldn't simply provide my name, phone number, email address, date, or my booking number through booking dot com. NONE of that was possible because "Jolene" would only accept a confirmation number from the hotel, which was the entire problem. I was only able to speak to a human being once the robot sensed that I was screaming at it in frustration - and even then I was put through to a call center that was outsourced by the hotel, and person I spoke to bent the rules to help me because I was in tears by that point. To corporate, please take this seriously: I would happily return to this hotel again if they got rid of "Jolene" and made it possible - not just easier, but even *possible* - to speak to someone at the location. It should not take hours of my time and someone at an unaffiliated call center bending rules to confirm that someone with my name and phone number has a reservation there. Until then, I am going to preserve my blood pressure and not deal with a hotel chain that makes it impossible to speak to someone at the front desk. The front desk staff truly were lovely - you should let them do their jobs instead of trying to have a patronizing robot do it, and not even accomplish what it's supposed to do.

Bathroom door would not close, tub very slow to drain, no sheets for sofa bed, not enough towels for 3 people, no housekeeping services for 2 days so had to remind them. Front desk staff, Earl and especially Chimere were very helpful. The concierge was also very helpful. Buffett breakfast could have been better. Limited choices. Location was great!!!

Hotel location is premium. Walking distance to everything. Easy for anyone with difficulty walking. Hotel has restaurant that is open some of the time. Food is good but prices for alcohol are very high. Beds are very comfortable - on the soft side which I like. Pillows and covers are quality as well. Cleanliness of rooms was not very good. Windows are so dirty you can’t even see out of them. I’m not sure it thats a Philadelphia problem or not. I noticed everywhere that windows were dirty. Don’t look under the beds or into the lamp shades! We had a problems with the sink not draining but they fixed it right away. The dresser drawers did not open easily and we could not use all of them because they were stuck. Hotel is in desperate need of an update. I hope they can update this hotel. I loved the location. They host very large groups of people and have a large lobby area. A small well stocked mini mart is downstairs next to the check out desk. They could also use a heated swimming pool and especially a jacuzzi. One morning we were awakened by strike protestors outside screeching into a megaphone and beating drums. They were gone by dinner time. Very annoying.

The hotel does not look very attractive from the outside. However, the location is good for this city. It is centrally located while still being fairly quiet. The hotel offers the necessary facilities, such as a bar and food and drinks (although these are quite expensive). All in all, it seems fine at first glance. Unfortunately, not everything met our expectations. As feedback, I would like to mention that it was very dirty. There were many visible stains on the walls in our room. These stains were clearly very old and impossible to miss, also for the cleaning staff. There were also many stains visible at the bottom of the bed. The sheets themselves were clean, but there is a lot of room for improvement when it comes to hygiene. This applied to several areas, including the bathroom. In short, know what you are booking. It is not the most expensive hotel, so in the end you somewhat accept these shortcomings.

Wyndham Philly is not necessarily a place i’d return or recommend to others. Customer service here is poor. Front desk workers aren’t friendly, didn’t greet us, while it’s not hard to figure out what amenities the hotel has by doing your own research, I think that a strong customer service team should give each and every guest the run down. Rather they just had personal conversations amongst each other. The rooms are dirty. One of our chairs had stains all over it, food? male secretions? Who knows at this point. When we arrived it was 95 degrees, and our AC was stuck at 75. I politely mentioned it and the front desk said they’d have someone look at it, they never did. Luckily we left our room to explore the city and the weather dropped to normal temps the following days. Service at the bar was extremely patronizing and our bartender was stressed handling all 6 people dining in the bar. Overall, meh experience. Upper management really should address these issues before they get worse because although Wyndham is cheaper than some hotels, you’re better off spending more money for a better experience.
