Good location and the restaurant is a gem in downtown Dallas. Especially if it's too cold to venture out. The rooms are a bit dated. You'll find the bathrooms needing to be repainted and refurbished with new hooks and maybe additional shelving. The beds are comfy but there's drafts in the rooms. No vending on my floor but the elevators were always fast. We never needed to swipe our room card to use the elevators at any hour we entered. Valet is quick and responsive. Business area, the one computer didn't work properly when we needed to use it.

We had a weekend staycation at Hilton Garden Inn Downtown. Prime location, close to everything, clean, quiet room. Comfortable bed and spacious room. The only issue was the hotel parking price was way too high, but we were able to get garage parking with in/out privileges nearby for a fraction of price via SpotHero app. Overall, great experience.

Service was good. Room was dated and in desperate need of an update i.e wonky lampshades, old TV and old decor. We booked this hotel because we wanted to enjoy the pool and get over jet-lag for a couple of days upon arriving to the US and once we arrived we were told the pool was closed. The location was very average and we didn't feel safe walking around the streets in this location. I would not recommend staying here.

Upon reading other reviews from this hotel, I decided to make one as a warning since others have had the same issue. We (non-smokers) were charged a secret $375 smoking fee with nothing but an air quality report to “prove” it. We would like to see you consider providing physical proof of smoking in the room before you charge people double what they paid to stay with you in the first place, and more than the security fee itself.

This hotel is in a great location. I was able to walk everywhere I wanted to go. There was a lot to do and see in the area. The employees were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The shower was also spacious. I liked that a keycard is required to use the elevator and there are staff outside and all times. I’d definitely stay here again. Also, it’s right by Thanksgiving Square, which is really cool for relaxing and reflecting.
