The Knickerbocker Hotel was one of the highlights of my trip to Milwaukee! From the moment I arrived after driving 1,800 miles, the check-in process was smooth, welcoming, and truly top-notch. The staff provided excellent service throughout my stay and made me feel appreciated as a guest. The location was perfect for my trip—just about a one-mile walk from the venue I was attending. While I would choose a different venue in the future, I would absolutely stay at the Knickerbocker again. A special thank you to the young man who randomly gave me a rose during my stay. It was such a thoughtful gesture and added a personal touch that made the experience even more memorable. Thank you to the entire Knickerbocker team for your outstanding hospitality and for being such a bright spot during my visit to Milwaukee. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again in the future!

We loved the Knickerbocker! The Junior sweet was very nice. Great ambiance, pleasant staff. A couple of things to consider. The box of Kleenix had exactly two sheets in it, C'mon really? No paper towels or napkins in the kitchen. Only one small plate in the cabinet. The kitchen floor needs a good cleaning (sticky) especially under the cabinet overhangs. We were up from Chicago for a wedding. You need to expand the kind of trip choices.

Pros: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-stocked with items for cooking and baking. The aesthetic was very stately with paintings larger than a person and chandeliers every few feet. The location was prime, and we walked everywhere--stores, the riverfront, trails, restaurants, entertainment venues, and more. The windows opened, and there did not appear to be many rooms with poor views. Cons: Parking was very tight and concerning. The check-in process was made difficult by being instructed to use an iPad, and the terms and conditions were not loading. (They did not load on the phone either.) The staff were extremely helpful in providing alternative methods of check-in once it became evident that the iPad would not load the terms and conditions.

Historical Hotel, so you can understand the dated rooms. The literally use keys not fobs for doors. You have to check in either online or on a pad before you go to the desk, which I find silly. The person at the front desk should explain you need the fob the give you for parking to get out of parking lot. We returned our keys and the fob got to the gate with our card and realized we couldn't get out of the lot without it. Again silly. All and all a nice affordable hotel.

Stayed here solo for a wedding and couldn’t be happier. Competitive prices and great old quaint rooms. Didn’t think I’d have a kitchen despite the pictures and reviews since I didn’t pay extra. But I was pleasantly surprised! My only gripe was no free continental breakfast, hence the 4-stars. Otherwise very good service and cleanliness!
