Courtyard by Marriott Phoenix Downtown

Very centrally located in downtown Phoenix and lots of places walkable nearby. Didnt use valet because we walked mostly everywhere except to uber to and from hotel. We also utilized the waymo service once.It was a crazy busy Hondo rodeo weekend and they were still able to check us in early and have our room ready which worked out perfect. The staff is extremely welcoming and accommodating. Anytime we needed more towels, blankets, or anything we had timely responses. We used every inch out of our room and we were pretty comfortable except for it getting really warm in the room at night for some reason even with the AC all the way down. Water pressure in shower was perfect. Room was clean and beds comfortable. There's a little place to buy waters and snacks but we also doordashed late night food almost every night. Ice machine close to our room. We had a great weekend!

This hotel was great. I really don't have anything bad to say about it. Stayed in the courtyard Marriott on the 5th floor. There was an awesome bar restaurant on the 4th floor. Plus, you don't have to bring that many clothes with you if you're on business as there's on-site laundry facility on the fourth floor and it's pretty reasonably priced $2 to wash $2 to dry. Place was clean and eat and organized and they had a nice TV in the room and the AC was piping once I figured out how to work the thermostat😉 You can't go wrong staying here and it's in an awesome location

This is the first Marriott property that I have stayed at, which was not even close to the standard of other hotels I have stayed at in the Phoenix area. The rooms are very small, and the carpet in my room was dull and dirty looking, the location was not peaceful or professional, there’s a train that runs right next to the property. The plug-ins above the desk are so worn that the plug wouldn’t stay in the wall. There were people in the hallway from 10 PM till midnight, there was something rattling around in the air-conditioning vent at midnight. When I called the front desk to ask if the fire alarm to leave the building was legitimate, I was put on hold and then the front desk man said “ I don’t think we have to evacuate”. It wasn’t comforting. There is a lot of homelessness around the hotel and I would not stay here again because I find it difficult to sleep with the amount of downtown noise, trains, adjacent room noise, etc. there are much better properties In the downtown Phoenix area

I would like to send out a "Shout Out" to the Front desk, for Hiring a special Employee name Makayla Hernandez who was very Professional as I approached the front desk. She is person that knows the High Standards that Marriott requires. Her knowledge of the Job, and what the people would expect as they check in should not go unnoticed. Thanks again Makayla Hernandez, you make me proud of being a Marriott Investor.

This experience has been by far the worst experience I have ever had with Marriott. The hotel was under construction due to a flood. Only one elevator working for 20 floors. No service elevator working for staff. Valet parking never answered the phone for car pickup my entire stay. The rooms were barley cleaned each day. I dont recommend this hotel to stay if you are visiting downtown PHX.
