I really liked this place. The suite is massive, featuring a full-sized kitchen right next to your mattress—perfect for staring at a refrigerator while rehearsing your conference notes. It is comfortable and spacious, assuming you do not mind your room smelling faintly of the midnight pizza you stored three feet from your pillow.

Very convenient location if you’re catching a Suns game just a block away. We stayed room 1005 2-queen suite. Nice to have spacious fully equipped kitchen (utensils, knives, paper towel, plates, cups, dishwasher, microwave, full size frig). Showers water pressure was just OK, nothing to rave about. The 4th floor has the fitness center and a very nice indoor heated saltwater pool. Complementary breakfast. There are 4 hot options, 2 types of sausage patties, scrambled eggs and something quiche or frittata. Cereals with cold milk. One type of cut fruit and oranges. Bagels, English muffin. Oatmeals. Juices, coffee, tea, hot water. Internet is just OK at ~15 Mbps.

Employee Recognition – Makayla I would like to formally recognize Makayla, a front desk agent at the Residence Inn/Courtyard Marriott in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona. This morning, I stopped by the front desk to have my bags securely held while I handled work-related matters across the street. Makayla greeted me with a warm smile and immediately provided professional, courteous service. Her positive attitude and genuine care made the experience seamless and welcoming. Makayla is the reason I am taking the time to submit this recognition. Team members like her are invaluable to the Marriott brand and play a significant role in customer loyalty. Her professionalism reflects extremely well on this property. I sincerely hope management recognizes Makayla in front of her peers and considers her for additional recognition or a pay increase. Because of service like hers, I continue to feel like a valued Marriott Bonvoy member. Thank you for maintaining such high service standards. Mr. Alexander

The hotel staff are nice, but the actual hotel is an awkward hot mess. The entire hotel is a construction zone on the floors at the moment so there's only 1 working elevator for the entire building... so it takes forever to get up/down to go anywhere. (Photos in review are taking across several floors) And, instead of focussing on upgrading a few floors at a time, they've decided to do the entire building at once. Every floor is a construction zone. Im surprised they continued charging such high prices under these circumstances. I was rudely awaken at 7am by construction workers blaring loud radio music and loud chatter and shouting outside my room. Are they not told that guests are still living on the floors that they are working on? I was extremely tired from my long trip and was unable to get a full good night's rest before my long flight the next day. It wasn't until 9:30am when housekeeping came around that they realised someone was living on the floor and turned their music off. I would feel too awkward and unsafe to walkout and ask them myself as a female. Additionally, the sliding door to my toilet was unable to close all the way. There was about a 6 foot gap left open as the slider bolt stops the door from sliding all the way. This is an installation defect and judging by the rooms being advertised and the room i was in, i assume that all the doors are like this. The only parking available is valet parking and it's at $45/night. Had i known, i would have looked for a hotel that offered cheaper parking options. They include breakfast, but it ends too early on a weekday for me to have joined. The only reason i give this a 2 and not a 1 is because the staff are friendly. I had issues using the laundry machine that wouldnt accept any of the cards i had on hand and the front desk helped me out by providing me with quarters. And, i poured all my laundry detergent into the only machine that wasn't working so they provided me with additional laundry liquid. I was really grateful for their help.

Quick less that 24 hours business trip here in PHX from PHL. Clean hotel and room. Friendly service at the front desk. I have always wished for darker hotel rooms for sleep when I travel, and this is the first one that was almost totally dark. HOWEVER, apparently there is such a thing as too dark, because navigating to the bathroom in pitch black in an unknown space was a real adventure. Strong suggestion to hotel management: Replace the push toggle light switch by the toilet with a dim LED toggle switch for guest convenience and safety. Included breakfast was better than average, and I really liked the coffee (Starbucks?) although my travel companion found it too strong. Nice dimmed hallways. Good HVAC in the room. Heads up: No safe in the rooms.
