I think this hotel gets a lot more negative reviews than it deserves. There was a very noisy couple who had decided to put on their music at full blast, thinking they owned the hotel. But after several guests complained the receptionist dealt with it in a very calm way even though the customer had some serious attitutde problems talking to her as if she was stupid or not worth anything. However, she kept her calm and dealt with it. After that it was nice and quiet. The rooms yes they are a bit old and the showers might be small as some other reviews said, but I think this is an American thing, where everyone expects things to be massive and excessively large. I think the price was good, it was clean and it served its purpose which was to have a bed to sleep for the night. One does not require a room big enough to play football to be comfortable. The location was excellent close to the tram lines thus making it easy to travel to the airport and get around the city. It also had a really nice mexican restaurant at the lobby. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again. If you want something like a super deluxe hotel, this is not for you, but if you just want a simple hotel to sleep and with a good location. This one serves its purpose just fine.

I was skeptical of this hotel at first. For the price, I expected a run down place but was pleasantly surprised. Parking is less than desired, but we found a parking garage around the corner so not too bad. The hotel was super clean. It could use some upgrades but they have maintained the historic charm. Every employee we spoke to are all amazing. Just super nice people who are happy to accommodate or guide you. Location is great and everything is close. We parked and used waymo or pedicab to go places. This has been such a fun trip and we owe a big part of it to staying here.

Check your beds before you unpack, folks. The downside: Found bed bug droppings and a dead bed bug on one of my beds. Fortunately I hadn’t unpacked. Thank goodness. I checked out immediately and was given a refund, thankfully. There is no onsite parking. The recommended parking garage on the same block as the hotel is dirty and seems to be a favorite hangout for homeless addict drug people. On the upside: The location is great, if you’re on a high enough floor to not hear the noise at the restaurants on the street. Very convenient to the convention center, stadium, and business district nearby. Hotel is just next to a couple stops for the local Phoenix above ground streetcar which gives access to much of the city. (I don’t recall the name of it.) Very quaint historic hotel, which has a lot of charm. The lady at the front desk was very kind.

Besides location, and old timey vibes this hotel is pretty terrible. Service was fine. Rooms were run down, beds are hard as a rock. Same with the pillows. Barely any hot water for a shower. Don’t expect any water pressure. Walls thin as paper so hopefully you get decent neighbors.

For an affordable stay, this is a great choice. The shower had the cold water without pressure what makes a bit difficult to regulate if you don't like hot water. The hotel is classic, an historic hotel. O got no noises from neighboursz I slept well. I found that the most poor experiences in hotels, old and new, cheap or expensive, are firstly due to other guests, that are noise, or even cleaning service starting to early.
