I don’t even know where to start… we checked in to the hotel, and the front desk asks us to put a card for deposit clearly stating nothing will be charged, since the booking has been paid already through booking.com. When enquiring if we can add breakfast to the reservation, the lady couldn’t help us since “nobody has ever asked that before” and refused to find out if that’s possible. Once we left the reception, we notice a charge, higher than booking.com fee, take from our account. When enquiring from another receptionist, she claims the initial lady was trying to explain to us how it works belittling what actually has happened. She insists it is not a double charge and we will be automatically refunded, but the hotel will take an extra $40 for taxes. Turns out, after enquiring directly from the manager, we were incorrectly double charged. There shouldn’t have been any additional fees or charges made, and the money taken from our account will be refunded. It’s been 3 business days now, but no returns have been received, and we are doubting if we will actually receive one. Alongside of the terrible customer service, I do NOT recommend the food either. Turns out, you can pay it on the spot. When enquiring about gluten free diet, the receptionist enquires what kind of GF am I - ie can I eat cheese. Cheese is not a gluten allergen, and I regret confirming I have eaten gluten on this hotel despite strictly outlining what I can eat and what are counted as allergens. The rooms were decent and air con worked, the courtyard looked lovely. Otherwise, I highly recommend steering away from this hotel. There are other alternatives available in the area that’ll save you a headache or two.

We just left this hotel, I am a Gold Elite level member. The hotel was clean and the location was convenient. We received no bottled water and the beds were hard as rocks, but that wasn’t the issue. Our shower dripped on the metal plate/drain ALL NIGHT LONG keeping us awake. When we went to use the shower, it took two of us to actually get it to turn on and then it took forever to get “warmer” water. When I went to check out, the front desk didn’t seem overly concerned and I was just going to let it go. BUT, I had also paid for breakfast and was informed the “Bistro” was closed. This was right at 10, but it wasn’t expressed or even posted that it closed at that time. We couldn’t even get coffee!!!! So, we left tired, without decent showers and without even being able to get the breakfast or coffee we paid for. Then clerk at the desk said we would “just have to contact the manager” she couldn’t do anything about any of it! I travel a lot and just switched back to Marriott last year from Hilton. I may need to rethink my decision.

I’d like to give a shout out to Isa who works at The Bistro. She is so attentive and sees to it that everyone is happy with their order and checks on us to see if we needed anything else. I wish we would’ve gotten the Front Desk man’s name when we checked in because we have been happy all the way around. Checkin and checkout. The attitude in this hotel has been very pleasant. :-) Thank you for a nice stay!

So I will start with I am a Marriott snob, and exclusively stay in Marriott properties whenever possible. These old Courtyards need to be torn down and replaced. Why? The narrow bathroom with zero fan ventilation means everyone in the room deals with whatever happened in the toilet or shower. The sink to get ready is tiny and dark. In this case the mattress was hard as concrete and we had a terrible sleep along with the ventilation system had all of us so stuffed up by morning we couldn't wait to leave. It was very clean and the staff amazing, but they could not make up for the old footprint that just isn't comfortable by today's standards.

Irritating staff! Not worth what we paid. The room was very small, the showerhead was terrible and we ended up not getting the room was requested. I understand we checked in late and it was sold out, but then we discovered the AC didn't work. Knowing it was late and it was sold out, we didn't go down to ask. When I told the front desk woman, all she could say is that I should have asked last night "so they could have checked." No apologies, nothing.
