Ryan, Best valet by far. He met us with a huge smile. Great customer service from Ryan, even though we didn't ask, he offered valet or self parking with no issue. He even brought our luggage to our room. We checked in with Caleb at the front desk, who was super enthusiastic and helpful. He told us about dinner options in the area and we wound up eating chicken tacos here at the Doubletree. Awesome service, atmosphere and experience ❤️❤️❤️

Staff were simply fantastic and so understanding. They emphasised with the issues I encountered in my previously booked hotel and they allowed me to securely store my carry-on a day before my check in. The room was spacious and with lots of natural light in the morning which I appreciated, well-equipped and with complimentary bottled water provided in the fridge. Breakfast included a variety/selection of buffet or an a-la-cart menu. Food was fresh and delicious! The hotel location is also great, just 5 minutes away from the nearest tram station, that you can use for free in Tucson, or you can simply walk in Downtown and the Historic Fourth Avenue areas. Overall, it was a lovely stay at Double Tree by Hilton in Downtown Tucson!

I was feasted on by bed bugs when I stayed here. I noticed some bites on me after about 2 days after staying here. They're itchy. At first I only had a single bite and chalked it up to a mosquito, as it itches as one. After 4 nights I had the common trail of bites in a row which immediately solidified that this is bed bugs. I was unable to find the actual bugs that did this. I notified the front desk and they came in and did a quick look through and we're also unable to find and bugs. At this point it became clear that they didn't believe me. They did offer to give me another room to "make me feel comfortable" like the bites and itching were some mental affliction. I asked for a refund. The employee told me that it might be hard to get one since I booked through Expedia. He also hinted they didn't believe me because they didn't find bugs, which makes a refund harder apparently. But I could talk to the manager at 8am tomorrow (I was leaving at 5am to catch my flight). While I was in my new room a director called me on the hotel room phone, he said Orkin will be in tomorrow and the best they could do was offer points. As if I wanted to stay with them again after this. Corporate really needs to hire some people here with actual hospitality experience and skills. This isn't it.

Update: my elderly mother just told me about the throw up stain on the floor that i didn't notice. 1 star. Tepid Experience. Uncovered, unpatroled, and no liability parking. Second floor had weird sewage smell. Fit and finish in the rooms poor with mid-end materials. Drain gnats but otherwise clean. Custodial staff very kind. Host staff kept touting breakfast over and over but NOT complimentary. Whole place shuts down at 2200, why when you have a bar and a pool? Pool area small but nice views. Road construction everywhere. No free WiFi unless you sign up for their "free" stupid membership/datamining program. Place seems like a corporate cash grab. Worth the 4-star rating? No. Not even close. Close to two great restaurants across the street, I guess.

The best experience was with Jonathon the Valet guy. He was exceptionally kind to help me with valet of my new car. The room was quiet but had too many led lights and a smoke detector flashing above the bed.
