I chose to stay here primarily for easy access to Dodger Stadium to watch a Dodgers game. It was convenient to get from the airport to Union Station using the LAX FlyAway bus. Nearby attractions such as Grand Central Market and Little Tokyo are within easy reach. From the station close to the hotel, I could take a direct train to Santa Monica or Long Beach without transfers. The hotel also has a coin laundry, which was very convenient. Most importantly, it is located close to Union Station, where the shuttle bus to Dodger Stadium departs. Please note that breakfast is not included.

Loved this hotel, reasonably priced, perfect for a short stay. Very clean, great location, though some travel vlogs say this can be sketchy at night but as I stayed in November I wasn't out at night so can't vouch for that. Great staff, my room was cleaned during my stay even though I didn't request it. Would be my first choice if returning to LA.

I pick up this hotel is because it close to my tour pick up point (that is what i think before i go. At the end, my city tour is meeting in the other place, if i know that i will not pick this hotel) it is close to city hall, walt Disney concern hall, Broadway, nice but you need to walk up a slope to reach those places. the hotel is nice looking but the room is so small, it is only good for tiny people, for well fitted person or tall person, this is a challenge to live there. Room has all the amenities but room is so small, no where to put 2 people luggage flat, only your bed. the bed is so short, only good for 5"4 or below to sleep........ The bathroom is so small, the shower area is to tiny, you cannot even turn as you will hit everywhere when you do so....... the only good thing is there is hand hold shower ! price is cheaper but really hard to stay comfortable. If i know this before, i am willing to pay a bit more money then to live in other hotel. Sorry, not so recommend to American people who is tall and strong Staff is very nice thought, they have so lovely and helpful. it is very nice during night time, police car, fire truck, motorcycle, it is non stop through the night

HOTEL STAFF ARE PREDATORY, WILL BREAK YOUR THINGS, AND NOT TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY!!! I checked into the Kawada Hotel on 5/2/26 and used the hotel valet. I went to my room and came back down for my car about an hour later. When I got in my car I immediately noticed that they had damaged my car. The push to start button was shoved in by the hotel staff with too much force and was broken. I immediately went in to report the damage done to my vehicle. The valet was very defensive and said he didn't know what happened. The front desk backed up the valet immediately without even seeing the damage or trying to investigate. None of the staff tried to help and kept passing me to the next employee. They then informed me that there was no manager on site and I would need to speak with a manager the following day. I followed up the next day with the front desk manager and she was not helpful either and claimed that they were not responsible for the 'wear and tear.' She then proceeded to give me an example that her niece uses her own push to start on her vehicle with a lot of force and it doesn't break. I informed her that just proves it's not normal 'wear and tear' then. I informed her at that point that I wanted to file a claim with their insurance. She said I would have to wait for her boss the next day to get that information. I followed up the next day and the Assistant Manager, Jonathan, proceeded to tell me that because valet staff "needed to press the button to start the vehicle," that they were not responsible for the damage. He refused to give me his insurance information. If they truly felt they had no liability for the damage they did to my car then there should be no problem providing their insurance information. I had to call LAPD, pay an additional parking fee, delay my travel time, and wait over 5 hours to even be able to get Jonathan's full contact information. So far, there has been no resolution and all of the Kawada staff are in on the coverup. The second manager had to "shush" the valet attendant in front of us. Don't be fooled by the photos of the lobby. They have shady business management practices!!! Kawada Hotel is extremely predatory because they do not take accountability knowing guests are not in town long enough to settle disputes. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!!!! EDIT on 05/07/26 at 10:08am: I messaged Kawada Hotel on Yelp messages on 05/06/26 with my confirmation number after your initial response/request to work with Hotel Management to resolve the issue on Yelp. I have not seen a response. EDIT on 05/09/26 at 4:16pm: I reached out again and still no response. Looks to be about the same accountability we got from your on-site management during the stay. EDIT on 05/13/26 at 1:25pm: A lot of talk for not actually addressing any issues. Management has not returned my messages on Yelp. I've asked to see if there is a different way to contact the hotel to address the damage. Crickets. Don't book this predatory hotel!!!

We spent one night. The hotel decor is very cute. Kind of a boho/modern esthetic. The room was very clean and all the basics were there. As stated in other reviews, the room is SMALL! We had a full size bed. Didn't know they still made those! It was comfortable and the linens were so clean you could smell a faint hint of bleach. A win for me. All in all a pleasant stay for one night. I don't know if the room would work for 3 people if it were a longer stay or the occupants were on the larger size.
