Laura Grandestaff 2 weeks agoRoom 118 Should Not Be Rented in Its Current Condition I booked a stay from June 15–18, 2026, at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Omaha Airport, IA and checked into Room 118. From the moment I arrived, there was a strong marijuana odor throughout portions of the property despite numerous no-smoking signs being posted. The lobby also felt unusually hot and humid. After checking in, we dropped off our bags and left to meet a friend for dinner. When we returned, we decided to use the pool. While I appreciated that the hotel provided pool toys and float rings for guests, I was surprised to find maintenance and pool-cleaning equipment left out in guest areas where children or other patrons could easily trip over it. I also noticed there was no hot tub despite some online photos giving that impression. After returning to the room and using the shower, I began noticing numerous maintenance and cleanliness issues. The shower area showed rust, water damage, and what appeared to be multiple poor repair attempts. As I continued looking around the room, I found additional concerns including stained bedding, worn and damaged fixtures, debris left behind furniture, and a carpet panel covering what appeared to be a sump pump or utility access opening. The area beneath the panel was dusty, dirty, and contained cobwebs. I also found what appeared to be either a meat stick or cigar behind the television stand, suggesting the room had not been thoroughly cleaned. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, and I was unable to get any meaningful sleep. Throughout the night I repeatedly heard a door opening and closing from the hallway area, which made resting even more difficult. Since I couldn't sleep, I started looking around the room more carefully. What I found only increased my concerns. The photos attached to this review document many of the issues I observed. One particularly concerning issue was the door frame where the room door latched. The strike plate area appeared to be missing entirely, leaving a large opening in the frame. Unfortunately, by the time I checked out I was so exhausted that I forgot to photograph it, but it represented a legitimate security concern. Another thing that caught my attention was an exterior window where items appeared to be stacked inside to the point that it resembled a storage area. Looking back, that should have been a warning sign about the property's overall condition. The deciding factor was simple: by approximately 4:30 a.m., after getting essentially no sleep, I felt more comfortable driving 2½ hours home exhausted than spending another night in Room 118. That is not a decision I make lightly. To be fair, the hotel staff handled the situation professionally. When I explained my concerns, they refunded the remaining nights of my reservation without argument. The employees I dealt with were courteous and helpful. My complaints are not about the staff. They are about the condition, cleanliness, maintenance, and overall upkeep of the property. The fact that Room 118 was being rented in this condition suggests these issues were not recent or isolated. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel and would encourage prospective guests to look elsewhere.
Teri Olson 2 months agoClean rooms and friendly staff but definitely dated. Lots of refreshing of paint and furnishings needed. Pool is not heated so be prepared for that. Breakfast was good. Hot food and the usual continental offerings. Overall a decent value.
Caleb Wulfekuhle 4 weeks agoFront desk staff is nice, but that’s about it. The condition of our room was laughable. There was a zyn can and other garbage in the corner, a funny smell, and random hairs in our bed. Won’t be staying here any time soon
Stewart Dyas a month agoGot to room and smelled like 100 packs of chicken ramen were cooked clerk laughed at it. 3 times 2 diffrent clerks came to room saying they got text messages saying we were having TV problems (no problems and how would we text if we don't have a number?) then a food delivery at 11pm saying the desk said we ordered it. (When the name wasnt ours on it) When checking out a day early (laughed about when going over experiences in morning. Such crappy service and attitude like this is disgusting. You can always have the added bonus of pulling up to Park and seeing a unhoused person sleeping aginst the building this is the spot. Bring breakfast for yourself as the don't have it as advertised there is nothing out for it. Surely a waste of money.
Tonya Needham-Zelaya a month agoWorst customer service I have ever experienced in my life had the so called manager/ night auditor screaming and yelling at me very rude and hitting things while i was there talking to him calmly, im glad i had somebody with me because i was scared he may have hit me and threating to kick me out because I complained about cold water for the shower there was no hot water and told me either I deal with the cold water or he was kicking me out offered a diffrent room but still cold even tho a second room we had with other family had hot water. Come to find out it was a burned out cord on the hot water heater that was causing the cold water only, I was scared that every time we left our stuff would be gone had a hard time enjoying my daughter's collage graduation worried about if they where just going to remove our stuff from the room without warning.
