What a fabulous property. Staff were just excellent. So friendly and helpful. The property is meticulously maintained, everything was very clean and in good working order. There's lots of really nice outdoor seating, it's comfortable and in good condition and the fire pit works. Our room and bed were comfortable. There's plenty of parking and it's an easy walk on a well marked path to the theme park. We stayed at 7 Marriott properties on a recent trip to the USA and this was definitely the best. Well done!

Clean, comfortable room. Fantastic walk in shower, we hate tubs. Great design to have a sink and toilet in a separate room than the shower and bigger sink area. Bed was a bit soft. Easy access from the freeway with a long access road leading into the amusement park. I bet it’s super crowded in the summer. Plenty of parking but only for guests.

My job has me traveling often within a month. I have made a habit of choosing Marriott properties for their professionalism. Unfortunately today in all my years of travel I experienced my worst customer service experience at this property. I would love to say that I was greeted as a Marriott bonvoy member, but I wasn't even greeted as a human being my Paulina Johnson. First I must admit I was a half an hour early from their stated check in time, but that sometimes happens being a business traveler. I was told by Miss Johnson that I could check in within a half hour or an hour for a room. All the while not making eye contact with me, or treating me like a human being. As she began checking in other people in line and giving them rooms I had to go to the back of the line and she finally gave me a room. I asked for her name and she snapped it at me, which I would not even ask for if she were wearing a name tag, which is standard procedure in every Marriott hotel I've ever stayed. Everyone is entitled to an off day, but I have to tell you it seems more than an off day, but it seemed like more of an everyday with this individual. First negative review I've ever posted in my life, but thought future guests should be aware of the service you receive at this property.

Love that there is a hotel right on site at Carowinds. It's an easy ~10 minute walk to the front gate. Some of the rooms have a nice view of the park. Wish more Six Flags parks had a hotel like this. Rooms and everything are nice, typical for a Springhill Suites. Beds were above average, more comfy than the Hilton Garden Inn and Holiday Inn we stayed at earlier in the trip. Parking is easy. Breakfast gets the job done, though not as many options as some other hotels. If you're not going to the park, it's not walkable to anything, but it's easily accessible to I-77 by car, and plenty of fast food and gas stations down there.

Room was clean. I would recommend not staying on the first floor though. I could heard all the water from the floors above me anytime anyone above flushed the toilet or took a shower. Great location in regards to Carowinds though. I was able to walk back mid day to take a break, then head back with no issues. There's not really any food that's close enough to walk to though. The nearest restaurants are only a mile or so away but there's no sidewalks to get there. Overall price and proximity to the park was great and I would stay here again.
