Left with a bullet in my rental truck, do NOT come here at all. 6/2/26 at like 1 am, I heard shots outside of the window. That alone was making me want to leave on top of everything else including a prostitution and drug problem outside of the hotel. But when I left the next day to leave for plans, there was a bullet going in and out of my truck. The hotel staff was made aware of this, as when we called the police they said they were well aware of what happened, I mean how could they not have, it was right outside??? They had the plate on record in the hotel so you think that they would notify us that this happened. But what did I get, nothing. And this is after being woken up from shouting outside and already feeling unsafe when coming back to the hotel. I left when I was supposed to be there for another night, and knew they would refuse to refund despite their lack of concern for their guests safety. I will be reversing the charges. On the other note, the cleanliness sucked. Not only were some towels dirty when I got there, but there’s a leaking ice machine in the hallway on the second floor that they put us right next to, so it’s the only thing I could hear at night. Some woman also was harassing my mother at the breakfast bar in the morning after the shooting. They also changed the WiFi password without giving us the new one, and I had to annoy the front desk for it, but the woman on up front speaks so softly you can’t hear anything she says in person or over the old phone. They only allow you to check in if you’re over 21, even if you paid for the room for yourself. They also charged me more than what I had been given online, as I was given $235 roughly the first time, and when she gave me my receipt they charged me $350. Do not come here, not only is it disgusting, but dangerous.

Overall a good stay, the room was decent. The tv was great as well as the bed and bathroom. A lot of the furniture is already broken in some way so I recommend taking pictures so you don’t take any blame for it. Had an issue checking in but it was Booking.com that was causing the issue and the front desk was extremely helpful with dealing with it. The area isn’t amazing but never had an issue with anyone bothering me other than trying to ask for a cigarette which I didn’t have anyways. Overall it was a nice experience. Thanks to the manager and young front desk lady who helped me check in without getting annoyed.

EXCELLENT STAY, PROFESSIONAL STAFF,& SAFE PREMISES. However my wife booked the wrong hotel for my visit to my surprise, she had booked Motel 6 on University. BEWARE OF THIS PROPERTY IF YOUR ON UNIVERSITY/SUGARCREEK AND LOOKING FOR A ROOM , NEVER STAY @MOTEL 6 ON UNIVERSITY. I STAYED ONE NITE AND IMMEDIATELY WAS THROWN ABACK FROM THE PARKING LOT, DIRTY SHEETS ON THE BED, DOOR WOULDN'T LOCK, TV HAD NO REMOTE,NASTY BATHROOM,& HOMELESS PEOPLE SLEEPING IN THE STAIRWAYS(PICTURE ENCLOSED) I HAD PAID FOR TWO NITE, THAT MORNING I RAN TO THE FRONT DESK& STATED MY CASE THAT I WOULDN'T BE STAYING A SECOND NITE& I WANTED MY MONEY. MY MONEY TOOK 2 WEEKS TO POST BK TO MY ACCOUNT....I WENT TO GET ICE@1:00 am IN THE MORNING, ONLY TO FIND A HOMELESS MAN IS SLEEPING IN THE STAIRWAYS... I WOULD ADVISE ANYONE WHO ENJOYS THEIR LIFE TO RUN FROM MOTEL6 RITE TO SUPER8!!!

I would give it zero stars if i could. We got there at 4:30pm and were given a key to room 239 in the end of the upstairs hallway. The entire hallway was wet and was actively being mopped and the entire second floor had a terrible smell that you couldn’t ignore. We finally get to our door after walking around the mop water only to find a dirty room. A dirty pile of stained towels were right in front of the door, the bed still unmade and a pile of takeout still on the dresser. We had to trek back down the stairs to the front desk.. we were given no sort of apology for sending us into a dirty room. We were then given a new room (104) right by the front desk. When we got in the room we checked everything to make sure it was okay. There were two grays hairs on the bed but other than that it seemed ok until we tried to put the lock on the door. The bolts were coming completely out of the wall leaving the lock completely useless.. felt very unsafe. We made it through the night and when i woke up i went to take a bath. After letting the water run for a minute it started to run brown leaving me extremely grossed out. We packed up and left promptly after that. I would not recommend anyone to stay here and will never come here again.
