Carter Rountree 11 months agoI honestly can’t believe this place is still open. Used to take of their pool and I came in to clean one day and there were human feces on the pool deck. Told them to close the pool and clean it and I’d come back the next day to clean and reopen the pool. Next day I came back and someone had shoved it under the towel rack with the pool brush and they hadn’t closed the pool. They let people do whatever they want in that pool, it’s disgusting. They don’t adhere to the health department capacity rules so it’s constantly having to get shocked just to be able to see your hand 6 inches into the water. Don’t even get me started on the mold and bugs there. Not one to trash local businesses but this hotel and the others owned by the patels are holding Virginia Beach back from progress. These people are so cheap and broke they can’t fix anything. Just needs to be demolished and replaced tbh Edit: anyone that left more than a 1 star review for this place must be confused about where they stayed or the owner is scamming using fake gmails to leave reviews. This entire building is a public health hazard
Brett Burgett a year agoI had a family of 5 and we went over spring break, it was a pleasant time and surprised about the location. Everything was right there pretty much and the boardwalk was right around the corner. Only thing to even slightly complain about was the construction they have going on, on shore, not the hotels fault...and the air conditioning could've been a little better, but over all very nice staff and pleasant service as well as very decent stay, will be back!
Dawn Jarrells 4 years agoDO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! We had to switch rooms 3x due to how nasty the rooms were. Hotel smells like mold & very musty. The carpets were nasty, broken furniture, pool was being used for a storage unit(was not told this found out on our own). Mold on the shower curtains & inside some of the cabinets. Nothing had been cleaned in any of the rooms. Filters to the air conditioning was full of dirt we had to clean those off. First room the balcony rails were lose & a few off. Not safe at all. 2nd room the sliding door to the balcony came off & hit my son. Would have been worse if my husband hadn't been there to partial catch it. No laundry on site but said there was one. No house keeping at all. If we needed towels or toilet paper we had to go down to the office & ask for it. Then was told to leave our dirty towels out by the door...that took a few days before it was picked up.. Trash would remain piled up for days. We spoke to several different people staying there and they also had been switching rooms & was unsatisfied. The beach walk way out of the garage was blocked by pallets for you to walk on. Older folks or anyone with a stroller or wheelchair would not be able to get through. This hotel needs to be shut down until it's cleaned up.
tiffany anderson 4 years agoWhere to begin. I booked on hotels.com. Upon arrival both lots were full and there was nowhere to park. Hotels.com did not advise that there was only 1 parking space allowed per room meaning my daughter had to pay for parking after I paid $447.00 for our room. Speaking of parking, there was literally nowhere for me to park so the front desk associate had to come outside and create a parking space. Upon entering the hotel itself the elevator was dirty and reeked of urine. The outside of each room was dirty. They had old furniture in their stairwell. The hotel itself smelled like urine and mold. The worst part of it all was when we entered our room. The room was filthy. The mold smell was so overwhelming, my youngest daughter could not stop coughing. The air filter was dirty. There was rust everywhere in throughout the room. The Tv was broken. The walls were dirty and the bed linens were stained and dirty and it looked as if someone had just gotten out of the bed. The room looked nothing like the pictures on the website. I went to the front desk to get a refund and was told I could not receive a refund and to call hotels.com. I called hotels.com and advised I will not be staying in such filth! My daughter has severe allergies and respiratory issues therefore I can’t subject her to that environment. I am posting pictures of what this hotel really looks like. Long story short I had to book at the beach quarters at the last minute. If I could rate this hotel 0 stars I would.
Beatriz Cardenas 4 years agoMy family and I stayed here this past Saturday night and Sunday morning (6/11-12). We've never been more disappointed. Truly the only pro is the view from the balcony. I agree with others, this place is outdated and not clean AT ALL. Many stains and damages they just painted over to not seem noticeable but were. The elevator is rickety, parking is small, and the biggest smell of weed in the hallways/even on the balcony. Their pool doesn't work, they use the pool from the hotel next door. Both TVs (bedroom and living room) didn't work, though I was able to get the one in the bedroom working. Lightning is also pretty dim, they only had two lamps in the living room that didn't brighten the room much. And both lamps were damaged, one crooked and the other had a ripped lampshade. It just didn't feel clean, which even for a night, you should feel at a hotel. We did it for a night, but I wouldn't recommend this place for any longer than that, if at all. Honestly, this place felt like a scam. Their price isn't worth the quality you're getting 😕 I would rather pay some more for better quality than go with this place again.
