Last week I stayed at the Hilton Ocean Beach Club Hotel. It's not my first time staying at this property and it won't be my last. I chose to come during winter so as not to compete with too many other visitors for relaxation, peace and quiet. I usually come when the weather is warm. I was checked in by Marquita who was a delight from beginning to end with my check-in process. I had an ocean front studio room with a kitchenette in it which made it nice to put simple things together to eat when I didn't want to venture out too far. These rooms have floor to ceiling windows which makes watching the ocean intoxicating. I saw a school of dolphins practically every morning which made my eyes dance. By my second night I was having comfort issues with the bed and rose my concern at the front desk. Aishadia overheard my concern and stepped in to take over from the person I initially began talking with. Aishadia gave me the energy that my personal comfort and satisfaction was her #1 goal....and guess what, she SCORED! I was smoothly and easily moved to another room that was more suited and I was ever so grateful. From there, my visit was met with decisions of what time I planned on going down to the indoor pool and jacuzzi at the adjoining sister property. That's as hard as it got for me...lol. I stayed on a high floor so the tranquility and relaxation I was able to achieve helped me decompress a lot. The day I was checking out my room phone rang. It was Ms. Luvinia. She had called to check and see how my stay had been. STELLAR!, I told her. We talked about the similarity and history of our first names. We're both named after our Great-Grandmother's. How special is that. ☺️ To cap things off, Derek helped me transport my bags from my room down to my car. My conversation with him was a special treat. He's as nice and friendly as they come. Thanks to the team for making my stay so easy, comfortable and relaxing. If you'll have me, I will be back soon....lol.

The 2 stars are strictly for the rude service I received from the lady who answered the Guest Services phone on Saturday afternoon 2/28 ~3pm'ish. There was a room of kids nextdoor to me, stomping around, loudly pounding (not knocking) on the outer door that is locked & opens to 2 of the hotel rooms together (why do they need this). I called for help & this lady couldn't have been more rude - then she hung up on us - when I called back to ask to speak to the manager, she must have thought she was "smart" as she transferred me to a phone that just rings & no one picks up or no VM came on. Not too clever as she should know we know how to call at another time, fill out the contact form, do a Google & Yelp review, etc., lol. So - here we go with a bad review for the whole hotel - just because she was so rude. I suggest she maybe find another career that wouldn't include working with the public as she's not someone you'd want representing your whole business. Pros & cons: - When you're done checking in, there are weird ladies right there who harass you about timeshares or something - they actually barely let you pass by - and then have the NERVE to call your room to harass you even more. I told these ladies several times, "no thx," but they refuse to stop talking & trying to suck you in. Pls REMOVE this as it's a nuisance & harassing. If they'd like to hand something out, fine - but if someone clearly is trying to leave, it's not cool to do the hardcore sales pitch stuff - and tell them to NOT call our rooms, ugh. - Room was clean & big enough, nice bed, good channels on the TV (except there's no guide that tells you what's on), frig, sink, coffee maker, glasses, & cups. Pillows were a little too poofy, but I didn't have any neck issues. - Spend extra to be on beach side, as it's noisy on the city side (Summer could be pretty bad). * There's a huge bldg of apts right there too as the "city" view, so it's uncomfortable leaving the drapes open if you're a woman. - The hotel room doors are weird, as there's a locked door that you need to use your key card to unlock to get to your actual hotel door, which there are 2 rooms in this scenario - very awkward when your neighboor room also is trying to come & go the same time. Why is this needed? Do we need this level of security there? - Location: Great - right there on beach & in walking distance of lots of restaurants. - Parking: You can valet or use the parking structure a block away, and valet guys were nice & allow you to park right there to check-in 1st. - Staff: All but the lady who took my call & the sales ladies were nice. Again, the lady answering the Guest Services line is the only reason I gave a 2-star rating. I suggest she find another job in which she never interacts with the public - hello - you work at a hotel? There are tons & tons of hotels in the area, so choose one where the staff are ALL friendly & no people harass you in the lobby & calling you.

My family and I left today and it was an awesome stay as always. I want to thank Ms. Luv and MJ for there awesome hospitality. And the lady that checked us in I cannot remember her name. She was very helpful and nice also. Can't wait to come back!!

Worst hotel I've ever had to deal with. Was called rude by the front desk staff on 3-2-26 at 9 AM because we had nothing but trouble during check in the day before and the next morning because I was frustrated because their employee messed something up the night before. Was not notified that the roo.s were being remodeled until 2 days before check in. The outdoor heated pools were closed upon arrival. Received no notification that would be closed. They were one of the main reasons for staying here with kids. Light bulb in the room constantly flickers. When asked to have it looked at all I was told is ok we will. Never asked which one it was they needed to look at. Its sad that something backed by Hilton would be this horrible. The road in front of the hotel was blocked by freight trucks and box trucks. Which blocked the entrance to the front of the hotel to check in.

This was our second time staying here and had some hiccups I didn’t remember the first time. Started off great, we were able to get early check-in and started enjoying the hot tub as soon as we arrived. Love the 21+ option. Room was nice and it’s great to have the extra “kitchen” area with supplies. Only issue was there was a very strange, loud noise late in the night that kept us up for a couple of hours. We stayed city-side, so would probably ask for ocean side next time. Would also be nice to have a coffee shop inside the hotel. It was raining and windy in the morning so it would have been nice to stay in and enjoy our morning coffee not have to leave to get it. Staff were very nice at check-in and check-out!
